How to Create Your Ideal Day Through Imagery

Have you heard of imagery before?


Maybe of visualization?


|| Super popular in the manifestation world, imagery or “visualization” is used as a tactic to help you see the way you want something to play out.

Okay, so you’ve got down the “how to” on visualization but you might not be sure on what to actually see when you’re doing said visualization.


One of my favorite practices to lead clients through is seeing their ideal day from start to finish.


Why is this important?


Because it allows you to imagine what you actually want in your life regarding the senses.


You need to tap into what you:

- See

- Feel

- Hear

- Taste

- Touch


By so doing, you can determine what your environment is like, what actions you move through, what you consume, how you work, how you move, etc. etc.

|| How is that important to living healthfully?


Well, because the same neurons fire in your brain when THINKING about the activity as if you are actually DOING the activity.


Yeah - that’s right. It means that your brain doesn’t know the difference between imagining something and actually doing that same thing.


|| So, how do we use this to our advantage?


We practice imagery in order to implement & increase adherence to healthy habits in our daily lives.


Sounds exciting right?!


Okay - maybe not, but the habits & routines you have are crazy important to creating more energy in your life, finding more mental clarity & feeling better about your circumstances.


Right now things are still different, because we're not living our "typical" lives, but that doesn't mean we can't cultivate healthy habits at home!


|| It’s never too late to get started.


So here is a step-by-step on visualizing YOUR ideal day!


Follow these simple steps to get started:

  1. Find a quiet or calming place to close your eyes for 5 minutes.

  2. Steady your attention on your breath - in & out.

  3. Imagine living out your ideal day.

  4. How do you feel when you wake up in the morning?

  5. What do you do through your morning routine?

  6. Which food choices are you making?

  7. When are you exercising & taking time away from work?

  8. Senses to include: sight, hearing, taste, touch, smell & emotional response.

  9. Bring your attention back to your breath.

  10. Open your eyes & say out loud: "I am living my ideal day right now."


That’s it!


Even just five minutes a day of visualization can make worlds of difference in getting consistent with your healthy habits & seeing through to your goals.


Try getting started first thing in the morning before you even get out of bed.
